“Being a Care Coordinator is an  important role to me. My goal is to provide excellent care to all of our clients and improve their quality of life."

Sonia Boyd
Care Coordinator

At a very young age I developed a deep passion for the care and well-being of our senior population. I watched and helped my grandmother, who was also a caregiver, interact with her clients and I fell in love with the career. It soon became apparent that I had the heart and mind to be an excellent Certified Nurse’s Aide and so I began my caregiver journey.

I have worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) at long-term care facilities, private in-home settings, and also hospice care. It was eye opening to see the different levels of care at each of these facilities and how each level impacted our clients and their families. I eventually became the sole caregiver to my grandmother which gave me the understanding and appreciation of the needs of both the clients and of the loved ones who struggle to find proper care. You don't want to trust just anyone with their safety and well being, especially if you are not there to supervise each visit.

I view my position and the work I do as a way of giving back to the community and to those who gave me the passion to care for people, especially my grandmother.

Truly,

Sonia
